How does the 50% deposit work?
Checkout takes 50% of the price to reserve your spot and start the project: A$748.50 for Launch, A$1,498.50 for Business and A$2,498.50 for Commerce (bundles: A$898.50, A$1,798.50 and A$2,848.50). The other 50% is due once you approve your site for launch, before it goes live, and the site goes live once it’s paid. Your deposit is refundable in full if you cancel within 24 hours of purchase for a legitimate reason, including a genuine change of mind. After 24 hours it’s non-refundable: we keep the full deposit and don’t give partial refunds. This doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
When does the clock start?
The clock starts once your deposit is paid and your brief is in. From then: Launch 2–4 weeks, Business 4–6 weeks, Commerce 6–8 weeks. Bundles follow the website tier’s timeframe. Waiting on content or feedback pauses the clock.
Why Shopify for every tier?
One platform means we build and support faster, and you can add a store later without a rebuild. Shopify handles hosting, security, card compliance and Australian GST, and gives you a phone app to edit your site and products.
What else will I pay?
Your own Shopify plan, paid directly to Shopify, plus a domain name if you don’t have one. Shopify sets its own prices, so we don’t quote them: see Shopify’s current pricing. You buy the domain in your own name, so you own it, and we’ll help you buy it. pylotstudio doesn’t host your site or mark up these costs.
Can I update the site myself?
Yes. You edit pages, blog posts and (on Commerce) products, prices, stock and images in Shopify’s admin or phone app, and changes appear on your site straight away. Every build ends with a handover or training session.
What do the example sites show?
They’re finished example sites for fictional brands, built to show the range of looks we design. The skincare shop’s products come from our demo dashboard so you can see live edits; real Commerce stores use Shopify’s own product admin.
What if I need more pages or products?
Extra pages are A$197 each, and we can load products for you at A$297 per 25. Ask for a custom quote for anything bigger.
Is Website Care required?
No. Care is optional at A$147 a month (A$97 for retainer clients) and it’s month to month with no minimum term, so you can cancel any time. Without it, you look after your Shopify site yourself. See the Care levels.
